Ethnik Festival of Arts & Culture

Celebrating Culture. Inspiring Creativity. Connecting Communities.

The Ethnik Festival of Arts and Culture (EFAC) is Ethnik’s flagship annual celebration, bringing communities together through art, music, dance, fashion, food, and cultural expression. Held during Black History Month in Calgary, EFAC celebrates African and Caribbean heritage, showcases Black excellence, and recognizes the contributions of diverse communities to Canada’s cultural landscape.

More than a festival, EFAC provides a vibrant platform for artists, cultural practitioners, entrepreneurs, and community organizations to share their talents, preserve cultural traditions, and connect with audiences. Through live performances, cultural exhibitions, culinary experiences, creative showcases, and community activations, the festival encourages intercultural understanding, promotes inclusion, and creates meaningful opportunities for artistic expression and collaboration.

EFAC also supports local talent and creative entrepreneurship by connecting artists and businesses with new audiences, partners, and opportunities for growth. By bringing people of different backgrounds together, the festival fosters cultural appreciation, strengthens community relationships, and celebrates the diversity that enriches Calgary and Alberta.

Through its evolving programming and community partnerships, EFAC continues to build a space where heritage meets innovation and cultural pride inspires connection.
